What really should happen is software patents should be abolished of course, but with Microsoft having over one million software patents, and many many others existing, there&#039;s a lot of money standing in between rational thought and freedom, and corporate greed.

Take a look at Snow, that&#039;s another codec which looks promising and is supposed to be completely unencumbered.</description>

		<description>I think it&#039;s time for some 1 final standard. New codecs offer better compression but is bad for compatibility. ISO should define the ultimate format and stick to it.....</description>
